Jagadguru arrives at Anekere
Reaching Anekere on the evening of 17th October 2024 from Sringeri, the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam was given a rapturous welcome by hundreds of devotees assembled there. After accepting the Poorna kumbha welcome, the Jagadguru had Darshan at the ancient Ganapati temple, then inaugurated the “Shankara Kripa” Hall and Pattabhirama Mandira in the same building complex by lighting a traditional lamp.
The Jagadguru then proceeded to have Darshan at the Sri Chennakeshava Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Chenna Keshava – handsome Vishnu) and is constructed using the Hoysala Architecture. The stone carved Kalasha on the Vimana Gopura is said to be the biggest and one of its kind. The Jagadguru performed Mangala-arathi to Lord Chennakeshava and blessed the people who had gathered there.
This was followed by a Guruvandana Sabha in which the Jagadguru accepted the Swagata Patrika and blessed the assembled devotees with an Anugraha Bhashanam.
