Jagadguru departs Sringeri

With the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam started on a Vijaya Yatra from the afternoon of Krodhi Samvatsara Ashwayuja Poornima (October 17, 2024)

Earlier in the day, Sri Sannidhanam arrived at Sri Sharadamba temple around 8:30 am, performed Abhisheka to Sri Sharadamba followed by an elaborate Puja to Sri Sharadamba sporting the Bhuvaneshwari Alankara. Sri Sannidhanam performed the Mangalarati around 11:30 am. Subsequently, Sri Sannidhanam graced the Poornahuti of the Sahasra Narikela Homa performed in the Jagadguru Sri Narasimha Bharati Yagashala opposite the Sharadamba temple. Sri Sannidhanam then gave Darshan to devotees at Guru Nivas.

Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam started from Sringeri around 5 pm towards Anekere near Channarayapatna, and will grace numerous devotees across the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh as part of this 40-day Vijaya Yatra.

Sri Sannidhanam will camp at Bengaluru for a few days from October 19. Thereafter, Sri Sannidhanam will grace the Avani Sringeri Math for the Patthabhisheka of the new Mathadhipati. On October 26, the grand Kalyana Vrishti Stava Samarpana event will take place in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam.

While Sri Sannidhanam had accompanied His revered Guru Sri Mahasannidhanam during the Vijaya Yatra to Tamil Nadu in 2017, Sri Sannidhanam will grace Tamil Nadu for the first time independently as part of this Vijaya Yatra from October 26 to November 13. Sri Sannidhanam will first visit the Kanchipuram Kshetram and then grace Chennai for a couple of weeks.

For the first time since Sannyasa, Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam will visit the Tirupati Kshetram and continue the Yatra for another couple of weeks in Andhra Pradesh visiting various Kshetrams, cities and towns including Srikalahasti, Nellore, Vijayawada, Narasaraopet, Guntur and Rajamahendravaram.
