Jagadgurus in Alappuzha

ARRIVAL

Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam graced Alappuzha in the evening of June 13, 2017. Devotees accorded a devout welcome to the Jagadgurus. A public function to welcome the Jagadgurus was organised in the Centenary Building of Sanatana Dharma Vidyalaya school, that was established in 1905. Dhuli Pada Puja was performed by Sri K B Narayana Iyer, President of the Brahmana Samooham. After Veda Ghosha and Prarthana, many dignitaries including the Alappuzha MP Sri KC Venugopal, Municipal Chairman Thomas Joseph, Sri Sankaran Namboodiri of Melpazhur Illam, Sri Padmanabhan, President of NSS, Alappuzha offered their Pranams. The ceremonial VenKotta Kuda was offered to the Jagadguru. Prof. KPS Hegde read out a Sanskrit Swagata Patrika and submitted it to Sri Mahasannidhanam.

Sri Mahasannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam conveyed pearls of wisdom – we must remain humble irrespective of our achievements; we must engage in Puja not for publicity but for our own welfare; we must never cause inconvenience or harm to others; we must cultivate patience and be straightforward in our conduct.

Sri Sannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam said that faith in God and God’s Grace will make us feel contented and peaceful, and help us lead a purposeful life.

Later Sri Mahasannidhanam performed the Sharada Chandramoulishwara Puja.

VISITS

On June 15, Sri Sannidhanam had Darshan at the Mararikulam Mahadeva temple. Sri Sannidhanam then visited the Poornapushkalamba Sameta Hariharaputra Kshetram, had Darshan and inaugurated the Adi Shankara Nilayam. The premises of the Kshetram also has a “Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Pravachana Mandapam” inaugurated by Sri Mahasannidhanam during the Vijaya Yatra in the year 1995.

Thereafter, Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam gave Darshan to devotees. Kerala PWD Minister G Sudhakaran and Finance Minister Thomas Issac also had Darshan and offered their respects. Later in the afternoon, the Jagadgurus started for Kochi.

En route, the Jagadgurus travelled to Malliyoor in Kottayyam district. The Ubhaya Jagadgurus were received at the entrance of the Sri Malliyoor Mahaganapati temple by devotees led by Sri Parameswaran Namboodiri. The Jagadgurus had Darshan at the temple. Sri Mahasannidhanam blessed the devotees with an Anugraha Bhashanam.
