Jagadgurus at Kozhikode
ARRIVAL
Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam arrived at Kozhikode at around 6 pm on June 25, 2017 to a resounding reception by devotees. The Jagadgurus were received at the Tali Brahmana Samooham with Poorna Kumbha Swagatam. Kozhikode Mayor Sri Thottathil Ravindran and Ward Councillor, Sri P M Niyas were amongst the dignitaries who welcomed the Jagadgurus reverentially.
On arrival, the Jagadgurus proceeded to Sri Shasta shrine in the Samooham premises and had Darshan. To mark the official commencement of the preparations of the Mahakumbhabhisheka of the Tamil Mahaganapati Balasubrahmanya temple and the Kirata Murti temple, the Jagadgurus lit the first deep of the Shasta Sahasra Deepa Prabha – following which devotees around the community lit all the lamps. Sri Mahasannidhanam then unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the inauguration of the Tali Brahmana Samooham Sri Vidya Bharati Veda Pathashala.
Sri VP Ravi, Secretary of the Samooham, welcomed the Jagadgurus. After Veda Ghosha and Prarthana, a Sanskrit Swataga Patrika was read by Sri N K Venkitachala Vadyar and submitted to the Jagadgurus.
Sri Sannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam explained how Sri Kumarila Bhattapada had rejuvenated the Karma Kanda of the Vedas prior to the advent of Bhagavatpada, and pointed out that the performance of Karma is necessary until Chitta Shuddhi – purity of mind – is obtained.
Sri Mahasannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam through the illustrations of Sri Rama and Yudhishthira conveyed the importance of adhering to Dharma in our lives. Sri Mahasannidhanam also remembered His visit to Kozhikode in 1991 and blessed that Kozhikode will always be graced whenever the Sringeri Jagadguru goes from Sringeri to Kalady or from Kalady to Sringeri.
Thereafter, Dhuli Pada Puja was performed by Sri P Dharmarajan , the President of the Samooham.

SRI VIDYA BHARATI VEDA PATHASHALA & OTHER VISITS
The following day (June 26), Sri Mahasannidham graced the new Sri Vidya Bharati Veda Pathashala Bhavanam and conveyed His Blessings. Sri Sannidhanam visited the Kirata Murti temple, the Shiva temple & Vishnu temple of Tali Brahmana Samooham and had Darshan. Poornakumbha Swagata to Sri Sannidhanam at the Shiva temple was given by Mahamahima Sri KCU Raja, the royal scion of the Zamorin (Samoothiri Raja) of Calicut. Sri Sannidhanam also visited the temple of Sri Mahaganapati and Balasubrahmanya Swamy and had Darshan. Sri Sannidhanam then graced the office of Matrubhoomi Publications. Officials led by the Managing Director Sri MP Veerendra Kumar welcomed the Jagadgurus. The Matrubhumi publication of the English translation of Prasthana Traya Bhashyas of Bhagavatpada by Panoli V was devotedly offered by Sri Veerendra Kumar to Sri Sannidhanam. Sri Sannidhanam blessed the audience with a detailed Anugraha Bhashanam on the importance of speaking the truth.
Scores of devotees offered their respects during the Darshan granted by Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam at the Tail Brahmana Samooham building. Kozhikode MP Sri MK Raghavan also visited and sought the blessings of the Jagadgurus. Sri Mahasannidhanam blessed the Samooham with Rs. 1 lakh as Sharada Prasada, the first contribution towards the Kumbhabhisheka of the Tali Mahaganapati Balasubrahmanya temple.
Later that afternoon, the Jagadgurus started for Kannur.
