Aluva: June 17-18, 2017
Jagadgurus in Alluva
The Sringeri Jagadgurus were received with great joy by devotees upon arrival at Aluva in the evening of June 17, 2017. Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam arrived in a procession and had Darshan of Lord Mahaganapati and Sri Subrahmanya Swamy temple adjacent to the Aluva Brahmana Samooham and Bhajana Madhom. In the public function organised in the premises of the Samooham, Dhuli Pada Puja was performed by Sri Dharmaraja Iyer, the President of the Sammoham. A Swagata Patrika in Malayalam was read out and submitted at the Lotus Feet of the Jagadgurus.
Sri Sannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam pointed out that one’s mother, father and Guru are to be revered as per the Upanishadic dictum मातृदेवो भव । पितृदेवो भव । आचार्यदेवो भव. Just an Agnihotri reveres the three fires (the Gaarhapatya, Aahavaneeya and Dakshina), every dutiful person must revere the mother, father and Guru.
Sri Mahasannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam stated that devotees had been longing for the Sringeri Jagadguru to grace Aluva for many decades, and that He had resolved to grace Aluva during this Yatra.
Later, Sri Sannidhanam performed the Sharada Chandramoulishwara Puja.
