Jagadguru Graces Darsi
Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji arrived at Darsi on the evening of March 18. Even though a procession had not been arranged, thousands of devotees welcomed the Jagadguru in great fervour and eagerly waited for the Jagadguru’s Darshan as the Jagadguru entered the town. The embodiment of compassion that He is, the Jagadguru immediately called for a procession to be arranged to enable the devotees to have Darshan. The Jagadguru patiently waited while the arrangements were made and a grand procession then took place to the great joy of devotees.
In His Anugraha Bhashanam, the Jagadguru said that He was coming to Darsi for the first time and the devotees had shown the extent of their heartfelt Guru-Bhakti on the occasion. The Jagadguru went on to highlight the greatness of Sri Adi Shankaracharya and explained His teachings succinctly, calling for strict adherence to Dharma for attaining Shreyas.
The following morning, the Jagadguru had Darshan at the Ramalayam in Darsi. After blessing the devotees in Darsi, the Jagadguru started towards Giddaluru. Enroute, the Jagadguru graced Podili, had Darshan at Nirmameshwara temple and blessed the devotees with an Anugraha Bhashanam.
