Jagadgurus in Ernakulam
ARRIVAL
Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam arrived at Ernakulam to a grand reception in the evening of June 16, 2017. Sri Mahasannidhanam inaugurated the renovated Gangotri Kalyana Mandapam of the Kinattinkaara Samooham of Ernakulam. Dhuli Pada Puja was performed by Sri Nataraja Iyer, President of the Samooham.
Sri Mahasannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam spoke about the Avatara of Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada. Sri Mahasannidhanam also mentioned that Bhagavatpada penned many Vedantic Prakaranas such as Vivekachoodamani, Prabodha Sudhakara, Upadesha Sahasri, Svatmaniroopanam, Sarva Vedanta Siddhanta Saara Sangraha, Aparokshanubhuti etc. to convey the Vedantic tenets tersely. He penned Stotras to foster devotion.
Sri Sannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam explained that it is in our tradition for elders to instruct the youngsters on the path of nobility, so that the youth may go on to play a role in the societal development and attain a noble position in this world. That is why a number of values are conveyed through Subhashitas and Kavyas. Sri Sannidhanam also provided examples from the Shankara Digvijaya of Jagadguru Vidyaranya and the Champu Ramayana.
Later, Sri Mahasannidhanam performed the Sharada Chandramoulishwara Puja in the Mandapam.

VISITS
On June 17, Sri Sannidhanam offered Pushpanjali at the Shasta Sannidhi and Nagar Sannidhi in the Mandapam complex and planted a sapling. Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam then gave Darshan to devotees at Ernakulam.
Later in the afternoon, Sri Sannidhanam graced the Ernakulam Grama Jana Samooham and blessed the devotees with an Anugraha Bhashanam. Sri Sannidhanam also had Darshan at the temple of Sri Subrahmanya Swamy adjacent to the Samooham.
