Jagadgurus in Kanhangad

ARRIVAL

The Sringeri Jagadgurus arrived at Kanhangad on June 27, 2017. Devotees welcomed the Jagadgurus, gracing Kanhangad for the first time, with great fervour. The Jagadgurus first had Darshan at the Vishnumurti Dhumavati temple and graced a public function organised in the premises. Dhuli Pada Puja was performed by Sri Venugopalan Nambiar. After Veda Ghosha and Prarthana, a Swagata Patrika in Kannada was read out and submitted to the Jagadgurus.

Sri Sannidhanam in His Kannada Anugraha Bhashanam described the importance of Bhagavad Bhakti and Guru Seva.

Sri Mahasannidhanam in His Kannada Anugraha Bhashanam explained how Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada’s teachings are applicable for all times.

Later Sri Sannidhanam performed the Sharada Chandramouliswhara Puja.

VISITS

On June 28, Sri Sannidhanam graced Hosadurga near Kanhangad and visited many temples, had Darshan and blessed the devotees with Anugraha Bhashanams. The temples Sri Sannidhanam visited in Hosadurga include the Veerabhadra Mahamayi Devasthana, Venkataramana Swamy temple (in Kaaraatubailu), Sri Krishna Temple and Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple (Baarikkaadi). Sri Sannidhanam also visited the Ravalanatha Ammanavaru Mahishamardini & Gopalakrishna temple in Kanhangad, and the Kalabhairava mattu Amma temple in Tallani, had Darshan and blessed the devotees.

VISITS ENROUTE TO KASARAGOD

The Ubhaya Jagadgurus started from Kanhangad in the afternoon. En route to Kasaragod, the Jagadgurus had Darshan at the Panduranga Vitthala Bhajana Mandiram in Battathur and blessed the devotees. Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam then proceeded to Malla and had Darshan at the Durga Parameshwari temple. The Jagadgurus then inaugurated the Suvarna Soudha building of Sri Durgaparameshwari ALP School in Malla. Sri Mahasannidhanam gave an Anugraha Bhashanam blessing the management, teachers and students of the school.
