Jagadguru Graces Madipadu
Arriving via a ferry to Madipadu on 18th February 2013, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji was received by devotees led by Sri M H Avadhani. The Jagadguru had Darshan at Vidya Ganapati temple at the Veda Vedanta Gurukula Mahavidyalaya. The Mahavidyalaya is in a sylvan setting on the banks of the river Krishna and houses a Pathashala run under the blessings of the Jagadguru. In His Anugraha Bhashanam, the Jagadguru commended the efforts in setting up the Mahavidyalaya and also praised the devotion of Sri M H Avadhani who had awaited the arrival of the Jagadguru for consecrating Goddess Sharada in Madipadu.

On the evening of 20th February 2013, the Jagadguru visited the Veda Vedanta Gurukula Mahavidyalaya on banks of Krishna, had Darshan of Sri Dakshinamurthy, Sri Dattatreya, the Veda Murthys, Bhagavan Veda Vyasa and Sri Adi Shankara. The Jagadguru spent some time in the Pathashala interacting with the students.

On 21st February, the Jagadguru offered Puja to Sri Vidya Ganapati in the premises of the Mahavidyalaya and Shikhara Kalashabhisheka was performed.

On 22nd February, the Jagadguru performed the Prathishta Kumbhabhisheka of Goddess Sharada in the grand temple constructed in Madipadu.
