Jagadgurus Complete Four Month Long Vijaya Yatra
Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji started from Moodabidiri at around 3:30 pm on the afternoon of June 30, 2017. Travelling towards Sringeri, the Jagadguru was accorded reverential welcomes at various towns along the route.
With the Jagadgurus arriving at the Adi Shankaracharya circle a kilometre from the main temple complex, Math staff, authorities and devotees from all walks of life happily welcomed the Jagadgurus. Thereafter, the Jagadgurus were reverentially received with Poorna Kumbha Swagata offered by Sri T Dakshinamurti at the base of the Rajagopuram. The Jagadgurus immediately proceeded to the Goddess Sharada temple, had Darshan and spent some time in silent prayer and meditation sitting before the Goddess. Thereafter, the Jagadgurus had Darshan at the Sannidhi of Sri Adi Shankaracharya and Sri Torana Ganapati.
Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam then graced a Sabha organised in the Pravachana Mandiram on the occasion. Sri Mahasannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam recalled how His Guru (Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji) had taken Him along on a Vijaya Yatra in 1974-1975 to Tamil Nadu and Kerala immediately after the Shishya Sweekara in November 1974. At that time, Kumbhabhisheka had been performed at Rameswaram. Sri Mahasannidhanam said that at this juncture, a similar Yatra had been undertaken along with His Shishya (Sri Sannidhanam) with Kumbhabhishekas being performed at important branch Maths.
The four month long Vijaya Yatra in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala ended with the Jagadgurus returning to Narasimha Vanam and having Darshan at the Adhishthanams of Jagadguru Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Narasimha Bharati Mahaswamiji, Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji and Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji.
