Tenkasi: June 6-7, 2017
Jagadgurus at Tenkasi
ARRIVAL
The Ubhaya Jagadgurus arrived at Tenkasi on the evening of June 6, 2017 and were received by devotees at the entrance of the Karpaga Vinayakar temple. After having Darshan, the Jagadgurus arrived at the Tenkasi Agrahara, visited the Navaneeta Krishnan Bhajana Matham, and then graced a public function organised to welcome Them. After Dhuli Pada Puja by Sri JN Ramaswamy, the function began with Veda Ghosha. Swagata Patrikas in Sanskrit and Tamil, as well as a poetical welcome in Tamil were read out and submitted to the Jagadgurus.
Sri Mahasannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam spoke about the need to utilise the rare human birth. This human life of ours has been acquired by expending a lot of merit (Punyam). The human body is compared to a boat that has been bought by the money called Punyam. The boat of the human body is to be used to cross the ocean of Samsara before it develops a cracks and sinks i.e. before the human body dies:
महता पुण्यपण्येन क्रीतेयं कायनौस्त्वया ।
पारं दु:खोदधेर्गन्तुं तर यावन्न भिद्यते ॥
Sri Mahasannidhanam remembered His visit to Tenkasi along with His Guru and expressed joy that He had now graced Tenkasi along with His Shishya.
Sri Sannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam called for the removal of Dvesha or hatred of all forms. Sri Sannidhanam stressed the need for forbearance, and the need to forgive a person who has transgressed the rightful path. Quoting an incident from Valmiki Ramayana, Sri Sannidhanam pointed out it is wrong to think that non-retaliation is a sign of weakness. Rather, शक्तानां भूषणं क्षमा – To bear with and forgive is a sign of strength.
Sri Mahasannidhanam then performed the Sharada Chandramoulishwara Puja.
